WHAT'S HAPPENING AT MEUSER LIBRARY IN THE MONTHS AHEAD

Our regular activities include our "MEUSER ADULT BOOK CLUB" on the third Tuesday of each month in the Library Annex.  Call Wende to find out about upcoming book selections.  Club members participate in selecting each month's read.

Our "STICK FIGURE OPEN MIC NITE" is held on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Library Annex.  The first hour is a writer's workshop  followed by an open podium at 7:00 pm.

"ANY STRING GOES” is a fiber crafting consortium  that meets every first and third Wednesday of the month from 4 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Come out, chat, and be creative at our new fiber craft group.  An informal "Knitting and Crocheting Club" meets on Saturday mornings at 10:00 am.

STORY TIMES for PRESCHOOLERS are held on Thursday and Friday mornings at 10:30 am.  Currently, registration is not necessary.

Join us for a Spring Bus Trip to Longwood Gardens on Monday, June 1. We will be departing from the Meuser Park Tennis Courts Parking Lot at 9:30 am with a planned return at 6:30 pm.  The cost of only $ 55.00 per person includes bus transportation and admission to the Gardens.  For more information, please call the Library at 610-258-3040 or drop in to make a paid reservation.

Heads up! Summer Reading is just around the corner. Join us this summer for fun and fantasy, meeting old friends and finding some new.

On the agenda for the summer is:

  • a Favorite Fairytale Tea Party
  • a Book Talk featuring Anna James’ The Book Wanderers
  • Pasta Engineering and more

Look to our June schedule for more event details.

In July we are excited to be part of Wilson Borough's Centennial Celebration at Meuser Park. Join us at the Park as Professional Storyteller Karen Mauer brings to life stories about “Policemen and Firemen of Yesteryear and Today”.  There will be an opportunity for young people to get their pictures taken alongside a police car and fire truck. Watch for story-telling-times as they are announced.

In the Fall, our Community Book Fair will be held on the Library Grounds on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13.   We are able to accept donations during the month of August only due to storage issues.

Look for a Haunted Library event happening in October and our annual Fall Foliage Bus Trip and Train Excursion through the Poconos.
